On-site Health Checks
In addition to remote support, iunxi performs a physical Health Check of equipment located at the customer’s site.
In addition to remote support, iunxi performs an On-site Health Check of equipment located at our customers’ premises. Field Engineer Ewout will come by appointment to check all equipment at your location.
From the services we perform for our customers, the work is mainly performed remotely from our Operations Center in Almere. Remotely, we keep a sharp eye on whether systems are functioning as agreed and intervene when unexpected issues arise. That way we have good control and keep the quality enterprise networks we manage up-and-running.
In addition to the familiar remote support, iunxi employs the Health Check. “With that, we perform physical checks on equipment that is on site at the customer’s premises. This involves not only our own equipment on site but also the customer’s own equipment that we manage. We want to keep an extra eye on things and occasionally subject equipment managed by us to an inspection,” explains Barry Huis in ‘t veld, COO & CISO at iunxi.
iunxi’s field engineers take an on-site look at how the equipment is doing. The Health Check is a comprehensive screening where equipment is “dusted” but not technically altered. “Literally dusted off, indeed,” continued Barry. “This includes checking and re-structuring the cabling. We value our quality of service and therefore we feel it is important to be fully aware of all the components that are part of this. That includes the physical condition of equipment and also the environmental factors that affect it and other possible connections that play a role on the infrastructure and on the quality we aim for. There have been times when the customer has installed new cabling too tightly causing a failure. That’s the kind of thing we want to overcome and control.”

What does an on-site Health Check entail?
- Visual inspection of equipment and environmental conditions
- Dust-proofing equipment and removing unnecessary items
- Checking the condition of equipment, consider damages in power and network cables.
- Check that all data matches the registration in the my-iunxi portal
Better safe than sorry
All the information gathered during a Health Check helps in handling incidents more efficiently and potentially allows remote adjustments to be made more easily.
“The advantage, of course, is that we actually keep control of the closet. After all, these are places where no one is present every day and where a mouse can sometimes walk around and cause damage. By making sure that we regularly do a check on location, we are fully aware of the situation on site and the condition of the equipment” says Barry. A Health Check is always announced to the client in advance.
